During an unannounced field visit, Mwabu found strong commitment from school leadership, digital champions and teachers. Classroom observations showed high learner engagement, good classroom management and growing teacher confidence in using digital content alongside prescribed textbooks.

A joint training and support visit by Mwabu has reinforced efforts to improve digital learning across five schools supported by Project Luangwa. . Teachers received practical training on using the Mwabu Learn platform, practical blended learning strategies, and data synchronisation processes.

Visits such as these give Mwabu the opportunity to improve how we support teachers. Mr Sikasunda, the dedicated head teacher, set time aside in his busy day to welcome Mwabu and discuss the successes and challenges the school has experienced with use of our content over the past two months.

As part of our commitment to Zambia’s digital transformation in education, Mwabu is proud to announce a new partnership with Beyond Ourselves Zambia. Together, we’ve made their locally adapted Jolly Phonics resources and training programme freely available to all users on the Mwabu Learn e-learning platform.

Mwabu is aligning all our digital content and lesson plans to support the three-year roll-out of the new competency-based national curriculum, ensuring teachers have access to relevant and accessible materials for every topic and sub-topic.

Mwabu recently trained the teachers at The African Education Programme’s flagship Learning and Leadership Centre - Amos Youth Centre.
