Top-up training at Project Luangwa supported schools

A joint training and support visit by Kato Kintu, Bibusa Mulusa, and Charity Wakalika from Mwabu has reinforced efforts to improve digital learning across five schools supported by Project Luangwa. The programme, held from 13 to 17 April 2026, brought together 23 teachers for product training, technical support, and classroom practice development.

The initiative supports a growing digital learning network that currently includes 339 learner devices and a projector. These devices have been gradually rolled out to Grade 5, 6 and 7 teachers and learners since 2022. During this training session, teachers received practical training on using the Mwabu Learn platform, lesson planning, classroom management, blended learning approaches, projector integration, and data synchronisation processes.

Feedback from participants highlighted significant benefits. Teachers reported increased confidence in using digital tools and observed improvements in learner engagement, participation, and understanding, particularly in Mathematics, Science, English, and Social Studies. Many educators noted a shift from teacher-centred instruction to more learner-centred and collaborative teaching methods, supported by the platform’s interactive content and structured lesson plans.
