Mwabu Learn Grade 1 content now aligned to the 2023 competency-based curriculum

Over the past few months we have reviewed our digital learner content and lesson plans to identify which match specific competencies in the 2023 grade 1 curriculum being rolled out across Zambia this year.

Suitable content that previously appeared in grades 1 to 3 across five subjects and addressing competencies in the new grade 1 curriculum are now organised into three subjects – English Language, Mathematics and Science, and Creative and Technology Studies. Both the interactive learner content and lesson plans are organised by sub-topic to make it as easy as possible for teachers, parents and learners to find what they need.

New Mwabu Learn users (create your account for free from the login page, as well as existing users, will have access to this content for a free two-week trial period when they log in to Mwabu Learn. Those with active licences will have access for the duration of their licence period.

We are planning ahead to have our content organised for other grades as the new curriculum is rolled out. In the meantime, you can still access content for the curriculum currently being taught from grades 2 to 7.
