Following a period of substantial investment in its educational content and platform, iSchool Zambia has rebranded as ‘Mwabu’ in order to align the Zambian business with its international sister companies. The rebrand provides the opportunity to present Mwabu as a single international organisation with a world-class product line, strong Zambian and international teams and a range of high-quality digital services for pupils and teachers.   

The N50 Project has released a white paper "Digital Adoption: A model for capacity and sustainability in digitally marginalized communities."

This project will, in Luumbo (Gwembe district), deliver Mwabu's customised e-learning platform and interactive learning resources, in addition to lesson plans and teaching videos. It will also offer access to telemedicine as well as agricultural, financial and business data.

The first set of interactive e-learning units for seed inspector initial training have been created.

By its nature medical knowledge and treatment are constantly being improved, and one of the great benefits of e-learning is it can be updated with the latest approaches. 

Members of staff recently attended a team building trip to Lotri Bay, set on the shores of Lake Kariba. As well as business discussions, the team enjoyed mountain hiking, game viewing and sunset cruises!

iLearnabout aims to provide teachers and learners across Sub-Saharan Africa with digital resources on environmental conservation challenges and solutions.

As phase one of our work with YWCA begins, we are proud to be hearing such positive feedback from the initial pilot of our e-learning materials. The experience was overwhelmingly positive; pictures and illustrations made the material easy to follow, and participants particularly appreciated the quiz. 

Mwabu are pleased to announce we have begun working with the Young Women’s Christian Association of Zambia (YWCA) to introduce e-learning as an element of their training for adolescents in reproductive health, life skills and financial literacy.
